Dory von Donnerstag

Dory von Donnerstag is a beautiful, smaller-sized 4 year old German Shepherd mix. Per her own words, "Hi! My name is Dory! I have been living in the kennels a long time and I really hope someone finally comes down and asks for me! On adoption days I put my best paw forward, smile and show off all my basic commands; people laugh when they watch me jump and splash in the kiddie pool. It breaks my heart to have to return to my kennel, but I always hope that my new family will turn up on the next adoption day. I walk perfectly on leash and am completely unfazed by other dogs. I am extremely friendly to people, both adults and kids, and I will shower you with kisses if you pet my head or give me a belly rub. I would love to go places with you and am a polite passenger in the car - so far I have gone on hikes, beach trips, brunch dates - and I love them all! But if you need to leave me at home for awhile, I am fine with entertaining myself (that does not involve destroying your house, no worries). Treats? Toys? I LOVE them but am not possessive over them. Some of my talents include jumping up and down like a kangaroo, especially if you throw a frisbee in the air. The volunteers think that I am a hoot, someone is always laughing when they hang out with me. I am already housebroken and can be adopted as an only dog, or with a friendly doggie brother. I have been extremely patient but I really hope one day soon someone will say "Dory is coming home with us!" Will that be you? (no cats please)
